VORONOI it is a sculptural system of 6 small containers, faceted in shape and assembled vertically thanks to the interactions between the internal magnets. Inspired by oriental art stone balancing, It is configured as an invitation to play with balance by exploring verticality. It is the first collection of objects in the world to be 3D printed with pure brass.
OBSERVATION
· STONE BALANCING
The inspiration came from a curious observation made in Far East where it is widespread practice to create buildings vertical with stones along the streams, looking for a equilibrium, physical and spiritual. It is the with the stone balancing.
· ELEMENTS
By bringing the oriental experience back to the studio in Bologna, we wanted to give life to a project that included the main elements of stone balancing: equilibrium, always different rocks, third dimension and dynamism of flows.
· ACQUA
Il natural flow and widespread of water in eastern spaces, the recurring presence of this element in the places defined by balanced stones and the surreal atmosphere calm e contemplation that was created immediately traced our inspiration.
· GAME AND ZEN
In the meticulous activity of stone balancing, the coexistence between practices is fascinating playful and meditative and the dualism between everyday and spiritual dimensions. The result is a practice that is a journey and an inner connection in contrast with the alienating frenzy of the world.
MEETING
· 3D PRINTED BRASS
Activate a collaboration with 3D4Mec, the first company in the world to have developed industrial 3D printers for brass, has opened the doors to an unexplored combination of production and material. The processing takes place with LBPF technology - Laser powder bed fusioncreating the pieces three-dimensionally through laser melting and solidification of brass powder.

By analyzing brass under the microscope, it emerged that its atomic structure follows the "Voronoi scheme": aefficient tessellation of space often recurring in nature, as in the coat of giraffes or in the veins of leaves.

In developing the form, the following were recalled massive volumes of rocks, modeling their surfaces according to faceted geometries of the Voronoi scheme. Wanting to include the attractive and inspiring force of water, theinternal It is designed cable.
